I like Blur's album "Leisure" a lot more than other people seem to. Maybe it won't to anyone else, but to me this sounds like it's trying to be a b-side to that album.
This song is about the first person I kissed.
I've uploaded a second version now, with a slightly extended running time, with a new bit before the final chorus, and with jiggered processing on the vocals. Not sure if it improved it to be honest.
lyrics
They all laughed at my L7 T-shirt
They all laughed at my strange choice of words
They all laughed at my awkward demeanour
They all laughed and I, I watched the birds
Doesn't she like me?
I guess she does
Rolled her eyes when she heard I was calling
Rolled her eyes when I was on the phone
Rolled her eyes when she told him about me
And I rolled my eyes and I stayed on my own, yeah
Doesn't she like me?
I guess she does
Doesn't she like me?
Doesn't she like me?
I guess she does
